FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- One week after creating a stir by saying QB Mark Sanchez was "rattled" by the Tim Tebow trade, Santonio Holmes was on his best behavior Wednesday as he met the media for his weekly news conference.

Holmes, probably coached up by the Jets' PR department, was Mr. PC.

Any special emotions about returning to Pittsburgh to face his old team? Nope, just focusing on the game.

How'd it feel to see the offense play so well in the opener? He said the offense isn't taking any bows, that it's concentrating on correcting mistakes.

How 'bout that Wildcat? Remember, it was Holmes who questioned the two-quarterback system in training camp, saying Tim Tebow would disrupt Mark Sanchez's rhythm.

"We run the plays coach Sparano calls, and we try to do them to perfection,” Holmes said, referring to offensive coordinator Tony Sparano. “That’s our focus. Whatever plays our offensive coordinator calls for us, it’s our job to go out and execute.”

Holmes reflected on his almost-TD against the Bills, the play where he made a diving catch in the end zone. He got both feet down, but replays showed his left arm hit the ground a fraction of a second before the feet touched. It would've been an amazing catch, reminiscent of his famous catch in Super Bowl XLIII.

"Most people probably wouldn’t have thought twice to get the back foot down, but I know that’s where all the money is made is to get both feet down in the back of the end zone," Holmes said.

HILL STREET BLUES: Rookie WR Stephen Hill has an explanation for losing his stomach on the sideline Sunday.

"I had a little issue where I was taking medicine and it kind of got in my stomach," Hill said.

So he threw up on the sideline in the third quarter of the Jets' win over the Bills.

"After that, I was fine," the wideout said.

Hill had a breakout performance against Buffalo. After a lackluster preseason, he stood out, catching five balls for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

What's the key to replicating that on Sunday against the Steelers?

"I just want to make sure I do the same thing over and over again, and there should be some great success on Sunday," he said.

SANCHEZ ON TEBOW: Sanchez said he's not sure how he'd handle the situation if he were in Tebow's position, going from starting QB (and a playoff winner) to backup.

"I think he's handled everything well," Sanchez said. "He's really come in and fit in with our team. He's tried to be a team guy all the way. He understands that he's going to get opportunities to touch the ball, and when he does, he wants to make the most of them. ... If I were in his shoes, I don't know how I'd handle some of the stuff he goes through. But it's fun to talk about in the quarterback's room."

REVIS UPDATE: CB Darrelle Revis, who didn't practice because of a concussion, was scheduled to speak with the media for the first time since his injury. But that didn't happen. A team spokesman said he'd speak Thursday.
