FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- If the Jets are looking for some bulletin-board fodder -- sorry, guys, no clown cartoons this week -- they might be able to make something of this quote from Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley.
On Wednesday, Woodley was reminded by a reporter that the Steelers (0-1) haven't started 0-2 since 2002.
"And we won’t be 0-2," he said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He added, "Every week the mindset is to go out there and win a football game, and not start the season off bad. So far we’re 0-1, and we’ll manage to not go 0-2."
By the way, the Steelers are one of only three teams that hasn't started 0-2 since 2003. The Broncos and Patriots are the others.
