EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As expected, the Jets will be without three offensive starters Monday night, all of whom are battling hamstring injuries -- TE Dustin Keller, WR Stephen Hill and FB John Conner.

They were among the Jets' seven inactives. The others are NT Sione Pouha (back), CB Darrelle Revis (knee), G Caleb Schlauderaff and QB Greg McElroy.

On offense, the Jets will start Chaz Schilens and Jeff Cumberland for Hill and Keller, respectively. The fullback position probably will be shared, with TE Konrad Reuland and newcomer Lex Hilliard getting snaps there.

Kenrick Ellis will start for Pouha, a big dropoff.

Analysis: Several recently acquired Jets are active for the first time -- RB Jonathan Grimes, Hilliard, CB Aaron Berry and WR Jason Hill. Rookie NT Damon Harrison, an undrafted free agent, also will dress for the first time. Can you say, mish mosh? ... Don't be surprised if CB Antonio Cromartie plays a little wide receiver. ... OLB Bryan Thomas (hamstring) is active.

For the Texans, the notable inactive is RB Ben Tate. The others: WR Lestar Jean, CB Roc Carmichael, CB Brandon Harris, S Quintin Demps, T Andrew Gardner and G Brandon Brooks.
