FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Confident team, these Jets.
Despite a heartbreaking loss to the Patriots, at least two players predicted Wednesday that they will beat the Dolphins (3-3) to reach the bye week a .500 team.
"This game is a must-win," S LaRon Landry said. "We can sweep these guys and also get to the bye at 4-4. That's what we're striving to do and that's what we will do."
Even mild-mannered DE Muhammad Wilkerson got into the action, embracing the 4-4 scenario at the bye.
"That's what we're looking for and that's what's going to happen," he said.
The Jets won the first meeting, 23-20, in overtime, but they haven't swept the Dolphins since 2007.
