Coples fined for Locker hit

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Quinton Coples was fined $15,750 for his hit on Titans quarterback Jake Locker in Monday's Jets loss in Tennessee. He was flagged for roughing the passer after a helmet-to-helmet hit on Locker.

Coples was fined last week, too. The defensive end was also fined $15,000 for grabbing the facemask of Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne in Jacksonville.

The fine came out after Rex Ryan’s Friday press conference had concluded, but earlier this week Ryan said he was pleased how the rookie was developing, saying that he is a big part of what the Jets hope to do in the future.
