A press release from the Jets:
To provide a safer environment for fans at MetLife Stadium, the Jets are reminding those attending games this season about the new NFL clear bag policy. This policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium and at all stadiums across the NFL.
The NFL Committee on stadium security in May unanimously recommended the implementation of this measure to enhance public safety all stadiums. It was discussed with all clubs at the May league meeting and has been implemented at all NFL stadiums beginning with preseason games.
Fans will be able to bring the following style and size bag, package, or container into the stadium:
• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.”.
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag.
• Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
• An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at all gates.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, seat cushions, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
