The Jets are back at Florham Park after a day off, having added Derrick Mason at receiver. There are a few things to keep an eye on as you go about your Sunday:
Receivers in pads: Plaxico Burress and Mason could both make their first appearances in Jets uniforms at practice. Burress rolled his ankle in a private workout with Santonio Holmes on Wednesday, and has been reduced to working with the Juggs machine as trainers give him a break. The debate about whether the Holmes-Burress-Mason set is an improvement over Holmes-Braylon Edwards-Jerricho Cotchery can then begin in earnest. Be interesting to see what kind of reps rookie Jeremy Kerley gets now. Kerley gave his No. 85 to Mason and tweeted "Loving the new football number." Kerley is 11.)
Punt battle: Chris Bryan and T.J. Conley are at it this season, the Australian and the second year player from Walla Walla, Wash. are squaring off. Bryan has the big leg, but the Jets were impressed enough by Conley that they didn't try to resign Steve Weatherford.
Cloudy skies: Jets EVP Matt Higgins tweeted earlier this morning that fans should check the website to keep up on whether rain affects the public practice schedule today. If the Jets go inside for the 2:15 session, fans won't have access.
