Thursday in Florham Park, N.J.:
• All eyes will be on WR Plaxico Burress. He has taken a grand total of four team reps since rolling his ankle, none Tuesday. Wednesday was a day off for the players. Rex Ryan said he wants to take it slowly, gradually building up his workload, but then came Tuesday -- a setback. If Burress doesn't practice Thursday, following a day of rest, we'll know the ankle injury is more serious than the Jets are letting on.
• Rookie DE Muhammad Wilkerson (hip) and RB Joe McKnight (ankle) are two others nursing injuries; both missed team drills Tuesday. The team downplayed Wilkerson's injury, so he should be back on the field. Every rep is important for Wilkerson, their first-round pick. He's being counted on to replaced the departed Shaun Ellis in the starting lineup.
