Wide receiver Patrick Turner was moved from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. The 6-foot-5 player out of USC was moved up and practiced with position mates Derrick Mason, Plaxico Burress, Santonio Holmes and Jeremy Kerley, all in uniform.

Linebacker David Harris was not in uniform, and worked out doing agility drills near the end zone. FB John Conner was kept apart from the other backs in some drills, but was in uniform. Conner sustained an ankle injury at the end of the preseason. OL Robert Turner (right leg) and Logan Payne (left wrist) were both absent as they heal from surgeries.

QB Mark Sanchez worked with the first team after passing some concussion tests after the Dallas game. He said yesterday on the ESPN 1050's Michael Kay Show that he was fine.

Lastly, TV Azteca reporter Ines Sainz was at practice today. Last season, the unprofessional response to her presence prompted an NFL investigation and a league-wide program on sexual harassment, funded by Jets owner Woody Johnson. This time, the head of Jets PR Bruce Speight stood by her side for the duration of practice.
