Jets sign ex-Charger Garay

After a short stint on the Jets practice squad in 2009, DT Antonio Garay is headed back to the Big Apple.
According to Adam Schefter, the ex-Charger agreed to a one-year deal with the Jets in a move to add depth to New York's defensive line following the departures of Sione Pouha and Mike DeVito.
Garay, a native of Rahway, N.J., left the Jets practice squad in the middle of the 2009-10 season and signed with the Chargers, where he spent 3 1/2 seasons. He totaled 48 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2010 and finished with a career-high 58 tackles in 2011, including 2.5. sacks. Garay played in only eight games for the Chargers last season.
