New York Jets: 2013 NFL Week 4 Power Rankings
Preseason: 32 | Last Week: 28 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
The Jets have come a long way from rock bottom. In fact, they jumped 10 spots this week, the largest increase in the league. Rex Ryan's team probably would've landed a higher spot in the rankings if they hadn't committed a franchise-record 20 penalties in their 27-20 win over the Buffalo Bills. On the stat sheet, they dominated the game, yet tarnished the performance with too many silly fouls.
Obviously, they're gaining some traction among the ESPN.com voters, yet there still seems to be some doubt about the Jets. For instance: They're ranked the lowest among the eight 2-1 teams in the league. There's probably some skepticism because of the level of competition, as their wins came against an 0-3 team (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and a 1-2 team (Bills). Sunday's matchup sets up nicely. The Tennessee Titans (2-1) are ranked 17th.
