The Knicks, who are cooking on the court during their recent 10-1 stretch, will be looking good on the screen too. MSG Network debuted two new high-definition studios at the state-of-the-art production facilities at 11 Penn Plaza, across the street from their previous home at Madison Square Garden (Mediabistro.com). Studio A will be the home for the Knicks and Rangers post-game shows and Studio B will house pre- and post-game shows for both teams.

"As the leader in New York sports and entertainment, it was imperative that we create an atmosphere that was on the cutting edge of technology and efficiency, while providing an impressive visual experience," said Dan Ronayne, executive vice president and general manager of MSG Networks. "MSG has always been a leader in technology, and these new facilities will allow us to continue to enhance the viewer experience at home."

In other off-the-court news, Foxwoods Resort Casino has extended its contract -- a multi-year agreement -- as an MSG sponsor, making them an official partner of the Knicks, Rangers, Liberty and MSG Networks (MediaPost.com). In addition to arena signage and in-game promotions, the casino gets exclusive advertising rights to the final five minutes of the three teams' game telecasts on MSG and MSG Plus, which is a first for the Garden.

Greg Elliott, SVP of marketing partnerships for MSG Sports, said the final minutes are, from an on-air perspective, "clearly one of the most exciting points in the game. This is a new way to create inventory and serve viewers; the integration is very sophisticated but doesn't intrude."
