NEW YORK -- Linsanity has arrived at Columbia.

Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin showed up at the Columbia-Harvard game on Friday night with 17:20 remaining in the second half to watch his alma mater play, and was greeted by a standing ovation and “MVP!” chants from the sellout crowd. Lin sat next to Spike Lee about 10 rows behind the Harvard bench.

He had been at the Knicks bowl event at Chelsea Piers.

Lin played for the Crimson from 2006-10 (115 games), averaging 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 29.2 minutes.
