CHICAGO -- Despite the Knicks' recent five-game skid, Mike D'Antoni said before Monday night's game against the Bulls that his players are communicating and know what needs to be done.

"We know that we haven't been playing well and that we need to start turning it around," he said. "But they're still together, they're still talkative and they're still trying and [we] expect good things tonight.

"They're good. They understand what we're trying to do."

D'Antoni, who has gone to bat for Jeremy Lin as he has struggled of late, said he's not concerned about his point guard adjusting.

"I'm not real concerned," D'Antoni said. "Whenever the psyche's not right, the point guard feels it the most and probably an inexperienced point guard's going to feel it a lot more. But I like his game and think he'll be a lot better.

"I'm not worried about it at all, other than just trying to help him move along, try to get him better just like anybody else."

D'Antoni also said pregame that Jared Jeffries had his sore right knee drained. He's still expected to return Wednesday against Portland.
