If the Tim Tebow-to-Jets trade goes through, we'll be sure to get reaction from Jeremy Lin on Tebow landing in the Big Apple. Lin, who is deeply religious, has said in the past the he's been inspired by Tebow, who is also religious and not shy about public displays of faith.
Here's what Lin had to say about Tebow in early February:
"I've drawn actually a lot of inspiration just because he’s such a polarizing figure but I think the things he says in interviews, his approach to the game is just unbelievable and I respect him so much," Lin said in a radio interview with 95.7 The Game in San Francisco. "I actually want to be able to do some of the things that he does in terms of the amount of charity work and the non-profit work, and the way he impacts people off the field. I think that is what is most inspiring to me about him.”
Wonder if Lin, whose charitable organization is dedicated to serving under-privileged members of the community, has a couch for his buddy Tebow if and when he comes to town? As of 3:30 Wednesday afternoon, ESPN's Adam Schefter was reporting that there's a possible holdup in the trade.
