Officially, Tyson Chandler is a game-time decision for Game 2 of the Knicks-Heat series. But, according to Mike Woodson, it may take a miracle for Chandler to play.

The Knicks' center missed practice on Sunday, staying at the team hotel in an effort to battle the flu that's been bothering him for the last two days.

"I don't know what he's going to feel like (Monday), so hopefully a miracle happens overnight and he's ready to play," Woodson said.

Chandler's condition hasn't improved since he Saturday afternoon, when he battled through the flu to play 21 minutes in Game 1.

Chandler was clearly affected by the illness on Saturday; he finished with three rebounds, scored zero points and had seven turnovers.

The Knicks center was slow to react to rebound opportunities and shots near the rim all afternoon. He spent several hours after the game receiving IV treatment and did the same thing on Sunday.

"He's just barely hanging in there," Woodson said. "He gave 21 minutes (in Game 1) but it wasn't the Tyson that we're used to having on the floor."

The Knicks' defense will be severely compromised without Chandler. He's been pivotal in New York's emergence as one of the top defenses in the NBA. On Saturday, with Chandler at less than 100 percent, the Heat had 20 second-chance points.

The Knicks defense will be further compromised by the Iman Shumpert. Shumpert was lost for 6-8 months when he tore his ACL and lateral meniscus on his left knee in Game 1, which the Knicks lost, 100-67.

The rookie had established himself as the Knicks' best perimeter defender and was trusted with the task of guarding Dwyane Wade.

"It's tough," Woodson said of the injuries to Chandler and Shumpert. "But I'm not one to make excuses. We're in a seven-game series against probably the best team, now that (Chicago's Derrick) Rose is out, in the East. And we're going to have to play."
