Baron Davis had successful surgery to repair partial tear of his right patella tendon and complete tears of the right anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments on Thursday, according to the team.
Davis is expected to be out for 12 months.
He suffered the injury in the third quarter of Game 4 of the Knicks series against the Miami Heat last Sunday.
Davis' future is unclear at this point.
He is an unrestricted free agent. The 33-year-old would face a significant climb back from the injury. He's given no indication to this point whether he will attempt to return or opt to retire.
