Looks like the Knicks will have their first chance to play against old buddy Landry Fields on Oct. 19.
The Knicks are scheduled to take on the Raptors on Oct. 19 at the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of the "Canada Series" -- a set of two preseason games being played north of the border.
In the other game, Minnesota plays Detroit at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Oct. 24. The NBA announced the series of games Tuesday.
The Knicks will likely see Fields for the first time during this game. The third-year shooting guard agreed to sign a 3-year offer sheet worth approximately $20 million with Toronto last week.
The Knicks are not expected to match the offer, instead letting Fields walk and inserting J.R. Smith as the team's starting shooting guard.
This isn't the only overseas NBA action scheduled for the 2012-2013 preseason.
The league has already announced exhibition games in Europe featuring the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks, and also will stage preseason games in China.
