Amar'e Stoudemire's fine with coming off of the bench and sitting down the stretch of games -- as long as the Knicks win.

So said Stoudemire after the Knicks' win over Philly on Sunday.

"(If) we keep winning then we're good. When we start losing a little bit then you start thinking about it," Stoudemire said after scoring 22 points in 22 minutes against the Sixers. "But we won the game and we played well down the stretch."

Since returning from injury on Jan. 1, Stoudemire has come off the bench for the Knicks, and his usage in the closing minutes of games has been sporadic.

Stoudemire hit 9 of 10 shots against the Sixers on Sunday. But he was on the bench for the final 8:36 due in part because of his shortcomings on defense. He left the game with the Knicks up by 13 points.

Stoudemire said he was fine with being on the bench because the Knicks walked off the floor with a win.

"Whatever the coaching staff needs me to do, I'm there to answer the call," he said.

FELTON FINE: The Knicks survived a scare on Sunday night.

Raymond Felton limped off the bench and into the locker room with a right Achillies injury late in the third quarter.

After receiving treatment from the Knicks medical staff, Felton returned in the fourth quarter and played the final 6:41.

"Nothing serious, though. I'm fine," Felton said.

He finished with 14 points and four assists in 36 minutes.

KENYON HEARD CHEERS: The Madison Square Garden crowd chanted Kenyon Martin's name midway through the fourth quarter Sunday, hoping to see the veteran forward make his season debut.

But Mike Woodson wouldn't oblige.

Still, Martin heard the cheers and said it was "great" to hear "love" from the MSG crowd.

Martin hopes to make his debut Wednesday against Golden State. He said he still needs to pick up some terminology and play calls during practice.
