Amar'e Stoudemire had a right knee debridement on Monday afternoon, the Knicks announced earlier in the day.
The power forward is expected to miss approximately six weeks.
As for Carmelo Anthony, he is making his return on Monday night against the Warriors after missing the past three games with a sore and stiff right knee. Melo is starting alongside Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, James White and Tyson Chandler.
Melo told reporters today that his knee is not 100 percent, as he's still experiencing some stiffness in the back of it. Mike Woodson will likely have to monitor his minutes the rest of the season. The coach has said previously that he wants to drop the Knicks' star from 39 minutes, which he has been playing recently, to below 35.
