Warning, Knicks fans: not sure if you’re going to be able to “stomach” this one: according to ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst, the Miami Heat are “seriously considering” signing former Knicks center Eddy Curry.

The Knicks shipped the perennially out-of-shape center to Minnesota in the three-team, 13-player trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to New York.

Curry has played in just ten games over the last three seasons, all of which came with the Knicks. During his Knicks’ tenure, Curry was one of the poster boys for mistakes made by former GM/coach Isiah Thomas. Thomas traded two first-round picks, two second round picks, Tim Thomas and Michael Sweetney to the Bulls for the former first-round pick.

How about this doomsday scenario for Donnie Walsh?

Curry hooks up with the Heat and burns the Knicks undersized frontline in a the playoffs, the same frontline that Walsh gutted in the trade to acquire Anthony.

Given Curry’s history of injury and fitness issues, it’s an extreme long shot. But, according to Windhorst, the Miami has observed Curry in a workout recently and Curry’s camp has been in contact with Miami since he agreed to a buyout with the Timberwolves.
