The Knicks have been a mixed bag through three games.

Here's three things to watch for:

Multiple personalities: Which Knicks team will show up tonight against Charlotte at MSG?

In the season opener, the Knicks blew a 25-point lead but beat the Bucks. They had a terrific fourth-quarter defensive performance ruined by Derrick Rose in Chicago. And they surrendered 40 points in the first quarter, fell behind big only to nearly make a comeback before losing to Minnesota.

This would be a nice game for the Knicks to have a more complete showing. Of course, with so many different lineups, new players and various combinations for Mike Woodson, the Knicks are still getting used to one another and it may take time for them to hit their stride.

Paint battle: The Knicks are expected to have Amar'e Stoudemire for tonight. Stoudemire did not play against the Wolves on Sunday after playing in Chicago last Friday. Stoudemire will play limited minutes but he may find the interior easier to navigate since Charlotte (1-2) will be without center Al Jefferson (ankle) according to the Charlotte Observer.

So that's a bonus for the Knicks.

Melo the finisher: Carmelo Anthony hasn't had a strong Melo-like fourth quarter yet. He's shot 7-for-22, 1-for-5 from behind the arc and has a total of 15 points and 11 rebounds in fourth quarters combined this season.

Melo says he has been second-guessing himself as he tries to get some of his new teammates going. It's only a matter of time before Melo goes off in a fourth quarter. Could tonight be one of those nights?
