GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Mike Woodson might roll out his fifth different starting lineup of the season on Tuesday against Detroit.

Woodson has been frustrated by the Knicks' slow starts this season. He said on Monday that he'd consider going with a big lineup on Tuesday against Detroit.

"There's a chance we might match up with [their big front line]," the coach said after Monday's practice.

There's also a chance that J.R. Smith will be sent back to the bench. The reigning Sixth Man Award winner has started the past three games but has struggled mightily against the Hawks. He went 3-for-18 from the field Saturday against Atlanta and didn't get to the free throw line once. He missed eight of nine from beyond the arc, and the Knicks were outscored by 18 when he was on the floor. So there's a possibility Woodson will try a different lineup.

"Don’t know yet. We’ll make that decision sometime tomorrow," he said.

Woodson might also move Kenyon Martin into the starting lineup. Martin's minutes limit has been eased in recent games. Woodson said the veteran forward will play in both games of the Knicks' back-to-back this week (versus Detroit on Tuesday and Indiana on Wednesday).

With Woodson opting for a big starting lineup to combat the Pistons' front line of Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe and Josh Smith, Martin might start at center. That would shift Andrea Bargnani to power forward and Carmelo Anthony to small forward.

And if Martin plays more minutes Tuesday, that could mean an increase in minutes for Amar'e Stoudemire, who played a season-high 14 minutes against Atlanta.

Question: What lineup would you roll out against the Pistons if you were Mike Woodson?
