W2W4: Knicks vs Pistons

January, 7, 2014
Jan 7
The Knicks play the Pistons tonight at the Garden and here are three things to watch for:

Tyson doubtful: The Knicks are facing the big Pistons' front court perhaps without Tyson Chandler. Chandler is listed as doubtful with an upper respiratory infection. Chandler lasted just four minutes in the Knicks' win over Dallas on Sunday.

If Chandler can't play, the Knicks will miss their starting center against a Detroit front court that features Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond and Josh Smith.

Mike Woodson, though, will likely have Raymond Felton. Felton is probable with a groin injury.

Bottling up Texas: The Knicks return home after a very successful Texas trip that saw them go 2-1 in the Texas Triangle.

The Knicks hope they've found their mojo because they haven't played well at home this season. They have dropped their last four home games and have the second-fewest home wins in the league at 4-12. The Knicks, who were 31-10 at home last season, must get things going at home this month when they play at the Garden 10 times with seven of those games against teams with losing records.

Pistons sputtering: Detroit comes in struggling. It's one more reason the Knicks need to have a strong showing tonight.

The Pistons have lost four straight games and six of their last seven overall. Detroit has surrendered an average of 110.5 points to opponents in its last six losses.
