GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Knicks had a three-hour practice and long film session despite a few players taking a recovery day.

Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton rested on Thursday. Andrea Bargnani (torn ligament in left elbow) joined injured forwards Amar'e Stoudemire, Kenyon Martin and Metta World Peace on the did not practice list. The Knicks still had enough bodies to go 5-on-5 in practice.

The Knicks (15-27) now must find a way to stop a five-game slide without Bargnani, Stoudemire, Martin and MWP Friday at home against Charlotte. Even though Mike Woodson often opts to go with a more defensive-oriented lineup in crunch time, Bargnani is the team’s second-leading scorer at 13.3 points per game. And he averaged 1.2 blocks per game.

The Knicks have plenty of issues to correct, and that was before Bargnani’s injury was revealed on Thursday afternoon.

J.R. Smith was asked about the team's film session after losing to the Sixers on Wednesday night at home.

"I mean right now, we’re pretty much open to anything new, our old stuff really isn’t getting it done," Smith said. "At the end of the day, it’s going to come from the players. I don’t think it’s any coaches’ fault, or our scheme’s fault or anything else like that. You play hard and you play smart, it’s hard to lose games."

Beno talks: Beno Udrih addressed a report by ESPN New York's Ian Begley about the point guard requesting a trade in recent days. Udrih said he will remain professional.

“I’m a Knick," Udrih said. "I’ve always been a professional and I'm going to stay a professional. Whatever happens outside basketball court, it’s not in my power to do it. If something happens, it happens. Right now I’m a Knick, wearing a Knick uniform."

On whether he wants to remain in New York, Udrih said, "Yeah, that’s my first option." "There’s a lot of options out there for everybody, but I’m a Knick," he said. "I want to be here. I believe the team has more than enough talent to succeed. We just have to get it together and do our jobs."

Udrih said he hasn't spoken to coach Mike Woodson in recent days.
