NEW YORK -- Carmelo Anthony didn’t have a big scoring night on Tuesday. Didn’t need to.

Instead, he did a little bit of everything to help the Knicks to their third straight win.

Anthony had 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lift New York to a 114-88 win over the Boston Celtics, who have lost 15 of 17.

The Knicks had five players score in double figures for the second straight game, a sign that the team might be starting to find the offensive balance it played with so frequently last season.

The Knicks also had five double-digit scorers in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers. On Friday against the Charlotte Bobcats, Anthony scored a Knicks and MSG-record 62 points.

Against Boston, J.R. Smith chipped in 17 points off the bench on 6-for-14 shooting. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 14 points in 33 minutes, and big man Jeremy Tyler had 17.

In all, the Knicks shot 53 percent from the field and hit 10 of 20 3-pointers.

Wasn’t all good: The Knicks might be without Iman Shumpert for an extended period. Shumpert left Tuesday’s game in the first quarter with a right shoulder injury and did not return. The severity of the injury is unclear.

Also, Kenyon Martin returned after missing five games with a left-ankle injury and re-sprained the ankle in the first half. Martin had earlier aggravated the injury against the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 16.

The Knicks said he was available to return but he did not.

Solid defense: New York held Boston to 39 percent shooting. Through three quarters, Boston had missed 12 of 15 3s. This Celtics performance was a far cry from what the Knicks saw in early December, when Boston beat them by 41.

Jeff Green led Boston with 14 points. Rajon Rondo had 7 points, 5 assists and 4 turnovers.

What’s next: The Knicks will practice Wednesday and play the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Thursday.
