Whatever you do, Knicks fans, do not open your gifts on Christmas Day from 12 to 2:30 p.m. ET. Not only does Shaquille O'Neal make his TNT debut, alongside Charles Barkley, but the Knicks host the Celtics to open up the 2011-12 shortened 66-game season.
The Knicks will look to revenge their 2011 first-round playoff sweep to the Cs. Following that matchup, at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC, the Heat will visit the Mavericks, who will receive their championship rings. The rest of the day's festivities are as follows: Chicago vs. Los Angeles Lakers (5 p.m. ET on ABC), Orlando vs. Oklahoma City (8 p.m. ET on ESPN) and Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State (10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN).
While ABC and ESPN usually broadcast the holiday tripleheader, TNT, because of its contract, gets the first game of the season. The rest of the schedule is yet to be announced.
