Bibby, Shumpert, Harrellson sign; Jeffries re-signs

NEW YORK -- The full current Knicks roster is on the court Sunday at the Knicks' practice facility.

It includes today's official acquisitions: Mike Bibby, Iman Shumpert and Josh Harrellson (signed), and Jared Jeffries (re-signed).

The quartet joined Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler, Landry Fields, Toney Douglas, Bill Walker and Renaldo Balkman.

Bibby, a 13-year veteran who has helped lead three teams to the playoffs (the Kings, Hawks and Heat), signed a one-year contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.

"Mike is a veteran point guard who we know can be successful in our system," interim general manager Glen Grunwald said. "He's an effective player who has a long track record of leading his teams to postseason success."

As of now, Bibby is likely to be the backup point guard for the Knicks come Christmas Day, but the team may not be done wheeling and dealing just yet. Reports surfaced on Sunday that the Knicks and Hawks are working on a three-team trade that would involve a Toney Douglas swap for Jamal Crawford.
