Maurice Evans' agent, Roger Montgomery, has confirmed with ESPNNewYork.com that his client gave a verbal commitment to the Wizards this morning.
The Knicks were reportedly willing to offer its full $2.5 million exception to Evans, who's now their fourth sought-after free-agent to take off for another destination. The other three were Jamal Crawford, Shawne Williams and Reggie Williams, who all went with higher offers.
