Jeffries' minutes may cost Harrellson

By Ian Begley

Jared Jeffries returned to the floor after missing eight games with a right knee injury.

He had six points, three rebounds and one block in 11 minutes, saying after the game that he felt 'great.'

"With the minutes I played, I feel strong. I'm looking forward to my minutes increasing," he said.

Mike Woodson said he'd be cautious with Jeffries minutes initially. It seems like Jeffries return will cost Josh Harrellson playing time. Harrellson did not play in the Knicks' overtime win over the Bulls on Sunday though Woodson said that Harrellson was not being forced out of the rotation.

"I know what I'm going to get from Jared," Woodson said. "Josh, I'm still learning what I'm going to get from him."

CHANDLER'S ELBOW 'OK': Tyson Chandler got hit on the elbow in the first half and left the game for a stretch to ice the injury. He returned to the game and said that he was 'fine.'

Woodson said Chandler would get treatment on Monday. The Knicks are not scheduled to practice.

WALKER'S BACK: Bill Walker suited up for the first time since undergoing elbow surgery in mid February but Woodson said it would be hard for the reserve small forward to crack the rotation.

"I'm not going to really interrupt the rotation unless I have to," the coach said.
