Knicks stick with small lineup

By Ian Begley

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

That apparently was Mike Woodson's thinking when he made a lineup for Friday night's game against Dallas.

After meeting with his staff before the game, Woodson decided to go with the same starting lineup he used in the first three games -- all Knicks wins.

Raymond Felton will start at point guard alongside Jason Kidd. Ronnie Brewer will line up at small forward, joining Carmelo Anthony at power forward and Tyson Chandler at center.

The Knicks can afford to go small because Dallas is not starting Chris Kaman. The Mavs will go with Brandan Wright at center, Elton Brand at power forward (likely matched up against Anthony) and rookie Jae Crowder at small forward.

If the Mavs bring Kaman in with Wright, Woodson may counter with Chandler and Kurt Thomas or Marcus Camby. In that instance, Anthony would slide the the small forward.

The Knicks (3-0) are trying to start the season 4-0 for the first time since 1993-94.
