"They're not letting me play when we first get back (to New York)," he said on Wednesday. "I am trying to get them to have me play in Boston (on Jan. 24), but it looks like Philly in Philly. We don't know if it's totally healed. We need one more X-ray, but it's pretty much healed."
Still, Mike Woodson cautioned that the starting point guard's recovery could take a little more time. His initial timetable was four to six weeks.
"He's not a long way off, but it could be two to three more weeks for him," he said. "We'll just have to gauge it as we go along. He's right on schedule, so we'll have to wait and see."
Felton spent Wednesday going through non-contract drills at The O2 arena, where the Knicks will play the Pistons on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
