Ex-Knick Lee out with suspension
By Jared Zwerling
Former Knick David Lee, who was to return to the Garden on Wednesday night with the Warriors, will not play due to a one-game suspension.
The NBA announcement came one day after Lee was involved in an altercation Tuesday night in Indiana. The incident occurred with 6:10 remaining in the fourth quarter, when Lee got into a shoving match with Pacers center Roy Hibbert, who also received a one-game suspension.
Lee's absence is a big break for the Knicks. The All-Star power forward has been the only inside offensive threat for the Warriors, averaging 19.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. Beyond Lee, Golden State is mostly a perimeter-oriented and fast-break team.
