But he hasn't seen what it's like to finish with him playing significant fourth-quarter minutes. Woodson prefers a defensive lineup and that means Bargnani on the bench.
"I thought about it," Woodson said of using Bargnani in the fourth of the 109-100 loss to Minnesota on Sunday. "But I thought the defense had held us right there. They came back big at the end and I left Melo at the four. I don't think that killed us."
Bargnani will make his third straight start tonight against Charlotte. But will he see some significant fourth-quarter playing time and finish a game?
Bargnani has played a total of 3:49 in three fourth quarters thus far.
He's gotten off to a slow start at times but has shown the ability to warm up. He hit all four of his shots and scored 10 of his 14 points in the second quarter against Minnesota.
During the Knicks' loss at Chicago, Bargnani struggled early but hit 4 of 5 shots and scored all nine of his points in the third quarter.
Woodson likes starting with the big lineup. But will he finish with it?
"I think that lineup, I think he is getting a little bit more comfortable," Woodson said of Bargnani. "But we just haven't played him a lot of minutes."
"Maybe I am hard-headed but I am going to start it again and just see what it looks like."
So, what do you guys think? Do you guys like Bargnani in the starting lineup and do you want to see him play more in the fourth quarter? Let us know.
