Halftime Report: Knicks 43, Pistons 43
By Ian Begley
The Knicks are trying to climb out of an early-season hole tonight in Detroit. They're tied with the Pistons, 43-43, at the half.
Here are a few observations:
Bargs bold:Andrea Bargnani's attacking the rim like a mad man. He has a game-high 11 points on 5-for-9 shooting. He's been using his shot fake to get to the rim. He has five makes in the paint.
He also has four rebounds.
Melo missing:Carmelo Anthony's struggling from the field thus far. He's missed nine of 12 shots and seems frustrated with referees. He has five rebounds (four on the offensive end) but has turned it over four times.
Amar'e Stoudemire had two strong dunks -- one on a pick-and-roll -- in the first half.
No 'D' in Detroit: Not much defense being played here. The Pistons are shooting 53 percent from the field, and the Knicks are hitting 42 percent but have moved the ball fairly well with 10 assists on 17 made field goals.
