Woody takes blame for STAT controversy

Head coach Mike Woodson put to rest Amar'e Stoudemire's tweet.

Stoudemire tweeted that his surgically repaired knee wasn't hurt, but after playing five games last week and six in nine days overall, he was staying behind as the Knicks traveled to Milwaukee to play the Bucks on Wednesday night. Resting.

Woodson took the blame for any miscommunication.

"That's a blip on my part," he said. "He's not injured. He's going to be out. There's a chance he could play when we get back home based on my conversation I had after he had treatment [Tuesday].

"He has logged some games in and not a whole lot of days to rest. He thought he needed some rest. So he's home resting."

And so is the drama surrounding the verbal disagreement.
