World Peace undergoes knee procedure
By Ohm Youngmisuk
NEW YORK –-
Metta World Peace
said he underwent a platelet-rich plasma treatment to improve the condition of his surgically-repaired left knee.
World Peace said he got shots to both of his knees and expects to be out for at least another two weeks before he believes he will resume practicing again.
“It went good,” World Peace said before sitting out the Pistons-Knicks game. “It was over in minutes.”
“I did both knees because I didn’t want to come back off-balanced and hurt the other knee,” he added.
World Peace said he wants to make sure he takes enough time off to recover. He said his knees felt “good” but a little “weird” after the procedure.
“I don’t want to test it yet,” he said.
World Peace said he is a fast healer and he explained why in his own classic way.
“I heal faster than some young guys which is crazy,” he said. “I am not on HGH. You can test me. Like Floyd Mayweather said, ‘I’ll take the test.’ I don’t do that stuff.
“I guess because I am sexy,” he explained. “Most sexy people heal fast. It’s true. It’s a fact. Do your research. Do your research on if I am sexy or not.”
