With Wilson to China, was 'Melo deal a steal?
By Ian Begley
Does this change how you view the Carmelo Anthony trade? Rather than wait out the lockout, Wilson Chandler decided to sign with a team in the Chinese Basketball Association.
Chandler, a restricted free-agent, will not be able to play in the NBA until his CBA team - Zhejiang Guangsha - is eliminated. The CBA will not allow NBA players to sign contracts with opt-out clauses allowing them to leave for the NBA if the lockout ends.
Essentially, the Nuggets got Chandler for half a season, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari and Timofey Mozgov from the Knicks for Anthony and Chauncey Biillups.
