The second night of the Ike Davis era is upon us. Davis will be facingCarlos Zambrano, whose career appears to be going the opposite direction of Davis'.

Zambrano enters with a 1-1 record and a 9.45 ERA. He will face Mike Pelfrey (2-0, 1.29 ERA).

Davis' dad, Ron, planned on flying in for tonight's game. He said he was going to take a red-eye after Monday night's game.

Speaking of debuts, it was 43 years ago today that Tom Seaver picked up his first career victory, beating the Cubs, 6-1, at Shea Stadium. Seaver worked 7 2/3 innings, allowing ust one-run.
