Jeff Wilpon and John Ricco again took the primary role as the Mets interviewed Chicago White Sox assistant GM Rick Hahn on Tuesday.

Hahn was the second candidate to interview. Former Kansas City Royals GM Allard Baird kicked off the process Monday. Former Arizona Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes is up on Wednesday and Los Angeles Dodgers assistant GM Logan White goes Friday. The Mets also expect Sandy Alderson to interview near the end of the week.

The first round may extend into next week. A team official said permission has been sought for additional candidates, which may include a minority. There is also speculation about Diamondbacks assistant Jerry Dipoto potentially getting an interview, but there has been no indication that will occur.

The Mets, despite their recent history of diversity in the front office and at manager, are not exempt from MLB's requirement to consider minority candidates.
