10:26 p.m.: Mets win 5-2. K-Rod gets five-out save. Mets win series for first time this season.

10:10 p.m.: K-Rod is through the eighth with only a sacrfice fly scoring. Mets lead, 4-2, heading to bottom of the eighth.

10:01 p.m.: Jenrry Mejia doesn't get the call on a belt-high, full-count fastball to Geovany Soto. Francisco Rodriguez is on for a five-out save attempt. K-Rod's last five-out save came in 2005. He hasn't had a successful save of more than one inning since 2007.

9:54 p.m.: Pedro Feliciano recorded the final two outs of the seventh. When he allowed two Cubs to reach in the eighth, Jerry Manuel summoned Jenrry Mejia with out one to protect a 4-1 lead.

9:24 p.m.: Johan Santana's scoreless streak ends at 15 innings. Pinch hitter Kosuke Fukudome delivers RBI single in seventh. That ends Santana's night at 103 pitches. It's still Mets 4, Cubs 1.

9:15 p.m.: The Cubs are combusting. With Rod Barajas acting as a screen, second baseman Mike Fontenot can't handle Angel Pagan's two-out grounder. Two more runs score. It's 4-0, end of six. Mets on verge of first series win of 2010.

9:02 p.m.: Jeff Francoeur snaps a career-high 0-for-24 skid with RBI single through the right side of the infield. 2-0 Mets in the sixth.

8:59 p.m.: David Wright lines an RBI double over Alfonso Soriano in left field, scoring Jose Reyes. 1-0 Mets. Wright ties Ed Kranepool for first on doubles list in franchise history at 225.

8:35 p.m.: Ike Davis reached second base when Tom Gorzelanny committed an error trying to catch the lead runner. However, he was stranded in scoring position when Angel Pagan struck out and Johan Santana grounded out to first base. No score after 5.

8:27 p.m.: Well, they won't get no-hit. Ike Davis singles to right field off Tom Gorzelanny with one out in the fifth.

8:26 p.m.: Jeff Francoeur opens bottom fifth with strikeout. Slump is 0-for-24.

8:23 p.m.: Halfway done in one hours, 13 minutes. Johan Santana scoreless through five innings. Mets getting no-hit entering bottom half.

8:13 p.m.: More boos for David Wright. He follows Luis Castillo's walk with his second strikeout in two at-bats.

8:10 p.m.: It won't be a perfect game. Luis Castillo walks with one out in the fourth.

8:06 p.m.: Make that three straight innings with a runner stranded in scoring position by Johan Santana. Of course, Tom Gorzelanny perfect through three innings. No score, headed to bottom fourth.

7:49 p.m.: Johan Santana again strands a Cub after a leadoff double in the third -- this time Mike Fontenot. It's 0-0, headed to the bottom of the third.

7:37 p.m.: Jason Bay called out on strikes in first at-bat, taking the lead on Arizona's Justin Upton for the most strikeouts in the NL.
