Ollie has short night in Guasave

Oliver Perez had a short start for Culiacan in Game 4 of a Mexican winter league semifinal playoff series against Guasave.

Perez was pulled trailing 3-2 after surrendering a homer to Luis Cruz to open the bottom of the third.

Perez's final line: two innings pitched, three hits, three earned runs, three walks, three strikeouts and a wild pitch.

Including the winter-league regular season, Perez has now walked 32 in 39 2/3 innings. He has allowed 36 hits and 23 earned runs, for a 5.22 ERA.
