Left-hander Taylor Tankersley, formerly of the Florida Marlins, talks about vying for the left-handed specialist role in the bullpen as well as growing up with a father who is a nuclear physicist. Tankersley, who is on a minor league deal, will compete with at least three others in the same boat: Tim Byrdak, Mike O'Connor and newly signed Casey Fossum.
