Beltran in simulated game

Carlos Beltran will participate in a simulated game Tuesday and get seven to 10 at-bats, according to the Post. That would allow Beltran to see live pitching without the need to run out plays.

D.J. Carrasco and Jenrry Mejia already were scheduled to throw three innings apiece in a simulated game.
