K-Rod acknowledges NYPD talk

Francisco Rodriguez acknowledged New York Police Department investigators spoke with him Wednesday as their probe continued into fired clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels, who is the subject of gambling and memorabilia investigations. The closer added that he was not the lone person interviewed, but he is confident no players are targeted in the probe.

“I was not the only one they asked questions,” Rodriguez told ESPNNewYork.com. “I think they’re just trying to find out. They want to make the case [against Samuels]. They want to get information from a lot of people, not only me.”
