Farmhand Emmanuel Garcia, who recently passed the six-month mark cancer-free following treatment for testicular cancer, was released by the organization Wednesday morning.

Garcia, 25, hit .219 with 10 RBIs in 51 games last season between Class A St. Lucie and Triple-A Buffalo before being shut down for cancer treatment.
