Ronny Paulino left Friday's rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo with tightness in his left oblique.
Paulino, who is on the disabled list after having an anemia-related issue, had been scheduled to be activated Tuesday. Clearly now that may not occur, potentially giving Mike Nickeas further life at the major league level.
