Bobby Parnell struck out Yankees prospect Brandon Laird on three pitches after entering with two out in the sixth inning Wednesday night for Triple-A Buffalo. It was the lone batter Parnell faced in his first rehab appearance with the Bisons. Parnell's previous rehab appearance had been with Class A St. Lucie.
Parnell is on the disabled list after experiencing numbness in his right middle finger. Team doctors determined a clot was the cause, and Parnell was advised to take aspirin to thin the blood.
