Daniel Murphy said he is not a con man.

While it appeared Murphy walked on only three balls during a sixth-inning plate appearance, Murphy said that wasn't the case. Although it went largely unnoticed, Murphy said second-base ump Angel Hernandez called a ball on Aneury Rodriguez for going to his mouth -- the third ball charged to Rodriguez during the encounter.

"I don't know. I wasn't paying attention," Murphy initially said about what happened. "I heard, 'Balk.' And then, '3-1.' I guess that's what Angel said -- ['ball']. It went from 2-1 to 3-1. It was a four-ball walk."
