That whole postgame rant?

It hasn’t proved to be very effective so far.

A little more than 12 hours after Terry Collins reamed his team out for its lack of execution, the Mets came out and stunk up the joint at Citi Field against the Pirates.

Mike Pelfrey has given up six runs on eight hits in the first two innings on Thursday afternoon. Pelfrey gave up a two-run moon shot to Neil Walker in the second. Walker drilled a ball to right-center that bounced off of the Dunkin' Donuts sign above the bullpen.

The Pirates scored three runs on four hits – all singles – in the first.

They got three more in the second thanks to two singles and Walker’s blast.
